POWDER COATING

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a dry powder.  It is a coating we apply electrostatically and then cure it in our oven specifically built to provide the best possible end product.  An advantage of powder coating over liquid paint is that it creates a hard finish and is tougher than conventional paint.  Ultimately powder coating also has less of an environmental impact than other methods such as liquid paint.  Here at Whiskey Charlie Custom Designs, we have a primary focus on powder coating a variety of types of tumblers. However, if you have other requests, do not hesitate to reach out and we will be happy to speak with you to see if we can help!

LASER ENGRAVING

Unlike laser cutting that “cuts” through a material, laser engraving uses a laser to mark a material.  The marking of the material creates a contrast in color, bringing to life a design on the item.  Our laser allows for engraving on a multitude of materials including: acrylic, wood, leather, rubber, paper, plastics, fabric, MDF, cardboard, corian, foam, fiber glass, aluminum, steel, brass and titanium.  When shopping on our site you will see items like tumblers, cutting boards, awards, etc.   If you have a need for another item do not hesitate to reach out to us!

SUBLIMINATION

Without getting into the science behind how it works, we use the sublimation process via a heat press to allow for printing of high-quality products without the use of traditional printing presses.  The heat press uses heat that can reach temperatures into the hundreds of degrees.  When applied correctly and using proper time and temps, this process makes for perfect printing of vibrant colors in delicate and intricate designs perfect for everything from gifts for family and friends, to marketing or gifts for businesses.  Let us know how we can help!

LASER CUTTING

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to vaporize a material, by way of making a cut edge.   Using a laser, we can cut out designs across multiple types of materials such as: acrylic, wood, leather, rubber, paper, plastics, fabric, MDF, cardboard, corian, foam, and fiberglass.  If you have interest in seeing a design “come to life” by laser cutting, please reach out to us.  We want to learn more about your need and find a way to help you!

UV PRINTING

As a form of digital printing, UV printing uses ultra-violet lights to cure ink as it is printed. As the printer distributes ink on the surface of a material, specially designed UV lights follow close behind, curing the ink instantly.  In addition, UV cured inks are considered weather-resistant and offer increased resistance to fading.  This service adds the ability for us to provide color printed images on even more products such as sunglasses, golf balls, totes, and even mailboxes!  Let us know how we can help you provide those items that will be talked about for months and years to come!
